Texas Football Reigns Supreme
It was a pretty decent weekend for Texas college football. The Longhorns beat Kansas State in overtime; TCU is still UNDEFEATED – did anyone see that coming? The Aggies didn’t get completely embarrassed by Bama, and no one cares about Baylor.
The Longhorns freshman QB proved he owns the starting gig with his performance this weekend. His ability to extend plays when the pocket collapses was reminiscent of the pros, couple that with the 300+ yards and 2 TDs he threw, Tom Herman would be crazy not to name him the starter.
TCU’s win over WV makes them the only undefeated Big 12 Team – I’m not surprised though; Kenny Hill has been outstanding all season. Against the Mountaineers he caught a touchdown, threw a touchdown and rushed for a touchdown – arguably the best game of his career.
The surprises of the weekend came from the Hurricanes beating the Seminoles with 6 seconds left on the clock, and LSU getting a road win over the Gators, after getting stomped in Death Valley one week prior.
Can you believe Miami beat Florida State for the first time in seven straight meetings? I definitely didn’t see that coming, but good on the Hurricanes for finally pulling off a W. Hurricanes 24, Seminoles 20.
Shout out to the Gators kicker who gave LSU the upset win in the Swamp – you had one job man, O N E job. It didn’t hurt that LSU’s defense finally decided to play for the first time all season. Tigers 17, Gators 16.

All in all, it was a fairly quiet weekend in College Football. Oh, and Alabama is still #1. No surprise there.
